Thanks for sharing Dave. Indie comics are no joke these days, and things are not getting easier. Hopefully a break will be invigorating.

Thank you for sharing Dave, I would like to ask a couple questions if you feel ok sharing.

understanding the issue with printing and con expenses. Have you looked into digital books? Many of us as customers are unable to pay for the high shipping costs but will gladly pay for a digital version. How have your digital tiers on kickstarter been?

Knowing that you do have work that your followers will gladly wait for in a future, have you looked into a Patreon site?

I listen to the comiclab podcast end they share everything they have learned and built (and lost) while making a living out of a free online webcomic. And seeing all the great work you have accumulated think that maybe a website like Karl Kerschl or a Patreon would be something that could help you explore a different approach for the non-publisher comics you are still planning to bring to your fanbase.

Thank you fro the great writeup, have a great day!

I totally understand the need to step back a bit. It all sounds so overwhelming and I'd not have been able to make as far as you have at this point. You're a great writer, I love you work, and I'll always look forward to the next thing regardless of when and how you do it. Taking care of yourself is the most important thing, and having joy in what you create is next after that. I truly hope you're able to do both!
